Storyboard

Image
My group and I were brainstorming ideas and we finally came up with an intro that flows and works well. Our storyboard and ideas will probably change throughout our filming process but this is our base for when we begin developing the video. We all collaborated on some ideas we thought would look good in the intro. I wrote the descriptions and shots we were going to be using while  Kelly and Jacky drew all of the pictures for the storyboard. Our project is going to be about a girl that finds a doll at a park and there is something weird about the doll which the audience will see throughout the movie.

My Film Opening Project - Genre & Group Members

My project is going to be in the horror genre and I will be working with Kelly and Jiaqi. I think for filming purposes it is going to be easier to work with other people in order to get the best shots and have several ideas on where we should go with our story. We will be taking the necessary safety precautions while filming our project. My group members and I decided to do our project in the horror genre because it is what we are all most familiar with and we are interested in these types of films.

What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? The image prioritized in the opening sequence is first the rabbits eye and then it switches to the rabbits in the cage. 3. What connotations do the images carry? The images carry a sense of uneasiness because the audience knows that these rabbits are an important part of the movie and are going to have a bigger meaning to the story. 4. How is genre reinforced through symbolic and technical codes from the outset? The music playing in the background is suspenseful and makes the audience feel on edge. The color red for the title fits well and compliments the rabbits eyes while also being the pop of color in this opening sequence. The dim lighting can make the mood unsettling and is a great introduction for the rest of the movie. 5. How does the film establish an eni...

  1. How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? There are about 4 main titles and several clips in the first few minutes displaying the actors/film crews names. 2. What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? In the opening scene the house is prioritized but it then switches to the boat that Bill is making 3. What connotations do the images carry? The boat plays an important role a little bit later in the film and is the start to the whole problem which is the reason that they prioritize it in the opening scene. 4. How is genre reinforced through symbolic and technical codes from the outset? The background music is lighthearted but since the audience knows it is a horror movie it gives the music a dramatic and eerie vibe. The camera captures each step Bill takes to create this boat for Georgie and it adds an uneasy tension to the audience because since this is a remake of the original movie many people already know that this boat is very symboli...
