Sound Art Assignment
My Sound Art Assignment was more horror based but it had a sense of action and thrill. In this scene a person is trying to hide from an intruder. The hardest part about making this audio was to avoid getting a muffled sound from the wind. This was hard just because when you run the wind sound becomes more noticeable. The rest of the filming process was pretty simple, I just had to make sure their weren't any cuts or spaces throughout the audio.
The first foley sound in this clip is a handle shake and then the door slamming. This sound represented the intruder coming into the room while the person is hiding in the same room. This gives the audience a sense of fear for the person and just made the audio more thrilling. I then switched on the light so this scene could be more realistic. I shook clothes in a closet to represent the person hiding through the clothes in the back closet to escape the intruder. The last sound was the closet door creaking which was the last clip of audio in this scene. This makes the audience believe that the intruder will soon find the person hiding which instills fear.
