My name is Melanie Kenton and I created this blog for my AICE Media Studies class. Films are important to me because they are an amazing form of entertainment and they let you escape reality. You can put yourself into any situation you want and enter the life of the characters. I am really drawn to horror movies because I love suspense and my family and I watch them all the time. Another genre I really like is Biopic because I enjoy learning about famous people and the crazy things that happened to them during their life. One of my favorite directors is Steven Spielberg because he is a great story teller and all of his movies are original ideas which makes each movie unique. I hope that by being in this class I can understand and appreciate the role media plays in our everyday lives.
